One&Only Kéa Island
One&Only postpones opening of Kéa Island resort until April 2024
One&Only has delayed the opening of the first of two new luxury resorts in Greece. One&Only Kéa Island had been due to start accepting guests in July, but will now not open until April 2024. The Kerzner International brand’s Cyclades island resort will span a 65-hectare beachfront site with 75 villas and 20 private homes to buy. Craig Jeffs, regional sales and marketing director of Kerzner UK, Scandinavia and
the Netherlands, said: “To ensure every aspect of the resort meets One&Only’s high standards, we have decided to postpone the opening to the first week of April 2024. “We are never prepared to compromise on our guests’ experiences. This will
enable us to complete the construction process of the resort to the desired world-class standards we provide as a leader in ultra-luxury hospitality. It is not a decision we have taken lightly and we would like to sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.” One&Only Aesthesis in Athens will open on October 1 and will operate year-round.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has added five extended sailings to its 2025-26 programme. The Grand Voyage itineraries on board four ships range from 61 to 117 nights. The 83-night Arctic Adventure itinerary departs New York on Seven Seas Mariner, with prices from £53,669. Seven Seas Navigator’s 84-night Grand Continental Sojourn sails from Barcelona to Sydney via Morocco, Canary Islands, Cape Town, the Seychelles, Oman, Qatar, India and Sri Lanka. Prices start at £37,179 with up to 213 excursions included. Other itineraries include a 61-night Grand Asia Exploration from Auckland to Tokyo and a 64-night Indian Ocean
Odyssey from Mauritius.

New luxury cruise line Explora Journeys has unveiled explorer and environmentalist Mike Horn as its brand ambassador. Horn has completed expeditions in some of the Earth’s most remote places and crossed the Arctic, Antarctic and Amazon. He has also sailed solo around the world, and works with communities and conservation organisations worldwide to help promote sustainable living. Horn will work with the brand’s team to develop sustainable shore excursions and onboard programmes. He will also join Explora I’s Arctic Geyser, Calving Glaciers and Fiery Lands of Ice itinerary that departs Reykjavik on September 9 and sails to New York. During the voyage, Horn will take passengers on hikes in two remote areas of Greenland and host a seminar and Q&A session.
