Investment encourages budding entrepreneurs
Last year saw an increase in factory capacity and the addition of a dedicated cable assembly plant in Romania to complementing EC Electronics’ existing PCBA facility, bringing the total to four factories across the group. Investment in machinery
includes a new SM line, new AOI machine, oven and printers for the PCBA factory. The company has also added a new service called High Pressure Overmoulding. On the stand this year, will be
the off icial launch of the Product Realisation package. This has been developed to allow budding entrepreneurs and companies to bring their ideas to life through a tried and tested program. To help with the launch, the stand will be co-hosted with Dezign Ideaz, for box and enclosure design technology to complement the manufacturing expertise.

Reducing the number of cases of lung disease deaths linked to past exposure in the workplace is one of the Health and Safety Executive’s key priorities and it is implementing measures to tackle this issue in its Go Home Healthy campaign. Filtermist International,
celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019, off ers a range of products and services designed to minimise exposure to oil mist and other airborne contaminants. UK sales manager, Matthew Pearson, explains: “As with all machinery, oil mist, dust and fume filters perform best with regular servicing. Filtermist operates a dedicated team of skilled service engineers... to off er customers peace of mind that their equipment is in good working order.” CoSHH (Control of Substances
Hazardous to Health) regulations require most LEV systems to be tested at least once every 14 months by a competent person. The company has a team of skilled
LEV engineers, certified to P601, P602, P603 and P604. A digital reporting system makes it easy to file and then retrieve LEV test reports when required. An LEV engineers will demonstrate the LEV testing service at the show.
