We use prepositional pronouns, called forainmneacha réamhfhoclacha, when a preposition (e.g. with, for, on, at) and a pronoun (e.g. me, you...) come together. In English, two words are used, e.g. ‘with me’ or ‘for them’. In Irish, we combine them to form one word, e.g. liom (le + mé) or dóibh (do + iad). See how many you can spot in the next exercise.
