Annual Congress Cannes, France 2019

UEIL is looking forward to its annual Congress, which will take place in Cannes, France, from 23 to 25 October 2019. Registration is open and available on our website. The theme of this year’s event is ‘POSITIVE DISRUPTION – Challenges & Opportunities for the fast-changing lubricants industry’ and promises to be a major highlight for our industry sector and for European industry more generally!

The Congress will take place at the prestigious The Majestic Barrière hotel, on the famous Boulevard de La Croisette in Cannes. Our gala dinner will be hosted in the historical hotel Le Negresco in Nice on 24 October, which promises to be a delicious and unforgettable experience.

We have already planned a packed agenda for the three days, incorporating a pre-conference seminar in collaboration with Argus Media, a workshop on Artificial Intelligence organised by Katie King as well as a Networking Reception in collaboration with ICIS.

Our conference will kick start with an introductory speech on the French lubricants market, by Eric Candelier from YACCO, followed by a keynote speech by Dr. Lutz Lindemann, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Member of the Executive Board, Fuchs Petrolub. Our conference will touch upon a variety of hot topics for our business including e-commerce, digital marketing, the workforce of the future

as well as circular economy. We will also be looking at more technical trends such as the impact of regulations on marine lubricants formulations, food grade lubricants and the future of the base oil landscape, amongst others.

Partner & Tourism Days The French Riviera is known all over the world for its glamour and beauty! Not only is it famous for its film festival in Cannes, the coast is also lined with sandy beaches, upmarket boutiques and palatial hotels. From the lavender fields of Grasse and the medieval villages of Èze, there’s a whole host of places to explore in the region.

Join us to discover Cannes and its surroundings. We’ve organised the Partner Day, taking place on Thursday 24 October, during which guests will treat themselves to a guided tour of the beautiful towns of Antibes and Grasse and visit the hills above the French Riviera as well as the famous Fragonard Perfumery.

During the Tourism Day, taking place on 26 October, guests will enjoy a private tour of Cagnes-sur-Mer and its historical village and St Paul de Vence, sitting between the shimmering Mediterranean Sea and the foothills of the Alps.

Email info@ueilcongress.org if you would like to participate. Save-the-date for our annual congress and see you soon in Cannes!
