David Meadows aged 33, who joined the firm recently after developing a web based retail business from scratch in Australia over the past four years, has definitely earned his stripes on his own initiative, and he is already making his mark with colleagues”.

A Semi-Retirement party for Mr Meadows was held in the new offices before Christmas when over 100 guests from throughout the City Region were entertained to a photographic time line of the company from early days as a drysalter and chemist at Mann Island, Liverpool to the present 270 years later.
The Meadows and Wilson families, both local chemical manufacturers, acquired RS Clare in 1889 and both families are still active in the business today.
