“1992 was the first year we produced Hugo Cartridge at GR Produkter. At this time it was a 4 cavity mold that produced about 1000pcs Hugo cartridges per hour. Today we have 14 cavities and produce 4500pcs of Hugo Cartridges per hour.“
In 1992 the grease market was troubled with poor quality grease cartridges. To remedy this, Hugo Cartridge was invented in Sweden and introduced to the market as the only cartridge with a patented “pull cap”, leak proof, easy to open bottom and with a “rip the outside off” piston cap, leaving the cap inside the cartridge when in operation.
The high quality Hugo Cartridge has, since 1992, found its way over country borders and is now frequently used not just across Europe but also around the World. Hugo cartridge is today exported to about 20 countries and the average daily sail is 36000pcs printed cartridges.
“The pull cap bottom is a reliable and easy to handle, leak- proof design and we could not in 25 years find any reason to change or means of improving the pull cap design, so we kept it the same.” said Jan Lundquist; the owner and CEO of GR Produkter AB.

Hugo Cartridge - Cause for celebration
GR Produkter AB is a small family busienes located in Tenhult, Sweden. The company have 10 people employed and the production is running 24 hour a day for 5 days a week. GR Produkter AB is today recognised as a reliable supplier of grease cartridges in Scandinavia and Europe, and is focused on customer satisfaction. GR Produkter has more than a 98% success rate for delivering to customers on time and has done for many years.
GR Produkter AB is located on the countryside outside the city of Jonkoping and the company operations are focussed on cartridge production. A Printing partner in the Netherlands will keep Hugo Cartridges in stock and print on short notice to customers in the area. From the Netherlands cartridges are supplied to Belgium, France, Spain and Portugal. From Sweden cartridges are supplied to England, Germany, Poland, Lituania, Hungary, Ukraine and outside Europe. Sweden is the biggest market followed by Netherlands and France. England and Germany are at the moment growing markets.
