joins forces with the Union of the European Lubricants Industry
Following a successful launch, Europalub’s members have agreed to assimilate its operations with those of the Union of the European Lubricants Industry (UEIL).
The decision sees EuropaLub transfer its activities to the European trade association with effect from 1st January 2017.
The move enables EuropaLub to consolidate its position as the premier source of market data estimates available across European countries and also underpin UEIL’s influential position as the pre-eminent representative body for the lubricants industry in Europe.
Commenting on the move, Sebastian Crawshaw President of EuropaLub said “The opportunity to create synergies with UEIL makes perfect sense as EuropaLub now has the resources and support available to fulfil its future growth ambitions within the leading trade association for the lubricants sector.”
UEIL President Valentina Serra-Holm remarked “EuropaLub presents a golden opportunity for UEIL to strengthen its membership offering, raise its profile amongst European policy makers and speak with greater authority as the representative voice of the European lubricants industry.”
EuropaLub. Established in 2015, EuropaLub provides market data estimates for subscribing organisations across twenty-three countries throughout Europe and is provided in an annually updated market summary publication and electronic licensed data format.
UEIL (the Union of the European Lubricants Industry) represents the interests of the lubricants industry in Europe, with a special focus on SMEs and independent companies that produce lubricants and metal processing fluids essential for the automotive and industrial sectors. Through its 22 national member associations, UEIL covers the whole lubricants’ value chain, from manufacturing and distribution to recycling, and represents over 450 companies and 100,000 employees.
