welcomes new member SAR LUBRICANTS
VLS, the Verification of Lubricant Specifications is delighted to welcome SAR Lubricants as a new Associate member.
SAR Lubricants (Squire A. Radcliffe & Sons Ltd) are based in West Yorkshire and have been manufacturing lubricants since 1872. For much of the early years, the company concentrated on supplying specialist textile lubricants and that experience and knowledge still carries on to this day, as SAR Lubricants are now recognised globally as one of the foremost suppliers in this field. Over the years the company expanded into all aspects of the lubricants industry, covering automotive, garage workshop and commercial vehicles, industrial
and metalworking fluids, food grade lubricants & greases, as well as textiles, fibre, yarn & weaving products. They have built a reputation for blending quality products with an emphasis on customer care and a fast delivery service.
David Mott, Director of Technical Services at SAR Lubricants said: “We are delighted to be joining VLS and to be part of this industry leading initiative. In today’s competitive market it is vital we ensure that customers and end users can have confidence in the products they are buying. By working together with other providers in our industry we can ensure that standards are upheld and that we promote the

Verification of Lubrication Specifications is an independent organisation providing a credible and trusted means to verify lubricant specifications. The Lubricant Industry Initiative works to bring transparency to the lubricant market place and protect and educate the end user. David Wright, Secretary of VLS and Director General of UKLA said: “VLS now has over 25 members from across the lubricants industry and has investigated 49 cases since its inception in 2014. We welcome new members to enable us to continue our work and protect our industry.”
