OilDoc Conference and Exhibition was again a major success
The OilDoc Conference and Exhibition took place for the fourth time from 24 to 26 January 2017 at KU’KO in Rosenheim (near Munich, Bavaria). With over 440 participants from more than 23 countries, more than 80 experts and nearly 50 exhibitors, it is one of the leading meetings on the topics of lubrication, maintenance and condition monitoring in Europe.
The specialist audience from almost all branches of industry learned about the latest developments in condition monitoring, fluid management, lubricants, tribology, lubrication under special conditions, functional fluids and lubrication in metal processing. The international program planning committee again balanced out a presentation program with practical-orientated as well as scientific presentations.
Petra Bots and Rüdiger Krethe, the CEOs of the OilDoc Academy, opened the OilDoc Conference on a frosty winter day. In his keynote lecture Dipl.-Ing. Walter Kudlich, Director of Afton Chemical, presented future-oriented concepts, how appropriately formulated lubricants can contribute to the reduction of fuel consumption in engines.
During the three days of the event, the focus also was on networking and exchange of experiences. At the “little Oktoberfest” in a typical Baverian beer hall the international visitors experienced traditional customs and Bavarian warmth with bullriding, a sniffing machine, a beer-mug hold contest and beer barrels.
The OilDoc Academy, the organiser of the OilDoc Conference, has emerged as a supplier of training and online training in the fields of lubrication, oil condition monitoring and proactive maintenance from the OELCHECK GmbH. For more than 25 years, OELCHECK GmbH, headquartered in Brannenburg, has been analyzing over 220,000 oil and grease samples each year to extend the oil change intervals in the machines and components.
