PROJECT LOWDOWN “With this kitchen, it was great working on a project that combines walnut with brave colours such as the Formica in Hunter Green, because this isn’t something we see very often. Sinead is an art teacher and ceramicist and we think the space is very much a reflection of her own personal influences and taste. The fact that it is filled with her own work results in a really unique and beautiful space that properly brings out the kitchen style.”
The pink tiles were inspired by Sinead and Phil’s pink Dualit toaster, which they have had for around 20 years. “It’s one of our favourite things that’s lived with us in many houses,” Sinead says. “I was never going to have pink cabinets, as I’m quite fickle and I change my mind every three or four years, but with tiles it’s not the biggest cost.” Tiles, Topps Tiles; hob, Fisher & Paykel; cooker hood, AEG.
