SHOW REVIEW | ISH digital

HANSGROHE New Axor

One collection from Hansgrohe

Another brand to embrace the fact that this year’s ISH was a digital affair was Hansgrohe. It launched its own virtual event – Aqua Days – where visitors were offered exclusive previews of new product inno- vations for 2021 from both the Hansgrohe and Axor brands, supplemented by live chats and Q&A sessions with a host of experts.

From a product perspective, the brand’s activity centred around the global launch of Pulsify – a new contemporary shower range. Available in chrome, matt black and matt white fi nishes, the showers feature Hansgrohe’s PowderRain, Massage and IntenseRain spray modes and EcoSmart, water- saving technology. Selector buttons allow for easy transition between handheld and overhead use, while water and temperature controls are integrated into the ShowerTablet thermostat – a 400mm shelf that also doubles up as a practical storage space. Another highlight of the brand’s Aqua Days was the introduction of the new Axor One collection, designed in collaboration with Barber Osgerby. This comprehensive range is made up of 31 products, including one-hole, two-hole and three-hole taps, wall-mounted taps, a fl oorstanding bath fi ller with handheld shower, and the Axor One thermostatic module for bath or shower.

KALDEWEI

Among Kaldewei’s product highlights was the addition of new colour options – including warm grey tones, soft beige and black – for its popular Classic Duo Oval bath (pictured), including a bi-colour variant for added impact.

ISH Digital was also used to reveal the expansion of its popular Cayono range, which gained a selection of washbasins. The introduction of this new category completes the series and makes it a fully coordinated option for designers and consumers.

Kaldewei also used its participation on the ISH Digital platform to promote the need for greater awareness of sustainability within the industry and to highlight its own commitments to the cause. Its ‘green’ strategy includes a sustainable approach to product development and ongoing collaborations with environmental organisations, including the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)

DURAVIT The sanitaryware and furniture specialist hosted its own digital event – Duravit Design Days – where it unveiled two new complete bathroom collections. Designed in collaboration with Belgian designer Bertrand Lejoly, the D-Neo range has, according to the brand, been created to outlast short-lived trends and offer sophisticated design at the entry-level of the market. Consisting of a wide range of basin, bath, WC, and furniture options, one of the highlights in this price point is a compact, freestanding bath made from the brand’s DuraSolid material. Meanwhile, White Tulip is Duravit’s latest collab- oration with world-renowned designer Philippe Starck. Said to be inspired by the organic shape of a tulip, the range consists a variety of bathtubs, basins and furniture, bidets and toilets. The toilets feature its water-saving HygieneFlush technology.
