ISH digital | SHOW REVIEW

TOTO

The Japanese shower toilet specialist created a dedicated platform for people to ‘visit’ its virtual stand and engage with the brand throughout the duration of the ISH event.

As well as a digital walk-through of its new products, this special online edition provided users with access to a series of live-stream events, focusing on the overall theme of hygiene and highlighting the benefits that shower toilets have to offer, as well as the brand’s latest technology. New from Toto for 2021 is the compact RP washlet that measures just 490mm front to back, making it ideal for small spaces. It also unveiled the sleek, rounded RG washlet (pictured). This is also available in an RG Lite version, which offers Toto’s washlet functionality at a more affordable price. Toto also highlighted a new range of “streamlined” ceramic washbasins.

VITRA

Vitra chose ISH to formally launch its new digital platform, Vitra NExT.

This, it said, will allow it to host online exhibitions during international trade fairs (like ISH). It is also available to access all year round.

As part of this, Vitra has created an exhibition space at its Innovation Centre in Turkey and turned it into a 360-degree virtual exhibition, available on the NExT digital platform.

This permanent exhibition space not only enables the brand to regularly update displays, but also allows trade partners and consumers to interact digitally with the products at any time. During ISH, Vitra used the digital exhibition to promote some of its designer collaborations, including Voyage, designed with Arik Levy, Plural, created in partnership with Terri Pecora, and Equal, developed with Claudio Bellini.

The company also debuted two new ranges – ArchiPlan and Root – that are due to be launched in the UK later this year.

ArchiPlan offers compact design solutions for small spaces, while Root is a new range of bathroom furniture units and brassware that complement the brand’s existing Integra and Zentrum basins.
