SHOW REVIEW | ISH digital VILLEROY & BOCH

The brand’s activity around ISH Digital focused on its Virtual Innovation Days. This online platform is where ‘visitors’ to the show could take a tour of its virtual showrooms, join live webinars and presentations for useful tips on successful retailing and to learn about the brand and its new product launches. Villeroy & Boch’s headline ranges launched during the ISH Digital show were Subway 3.0 and the TwistFlush.

Subway 3.0 is the latest generation of this successful collection

Washbasins have angular lines and deep bowls

Rimless WC has water- saving flush technology

Subway 3.0 is the new generation of the brand’s successful Subway collection. Described as a bathroom ‘designed for life’, Villeroy & Boch says this latest version is a practical, affordable complete bathroom range with a modern design that will last and can be enjoyed by a growing family. Washbasins in the new collection are defined by a fine, delicate finish with straight, angular features and functional elements, such as deep bowls and wide side shelves.

Thin-walled, narrow edges and small radii both inside and out give the ceramics a delicate look. The centrepiece of the collection is the rimless WC featuring Villeroy & Boch’s new patent-pending, water-saving TwistFlush technology.

The innovative new flushing system uses the physical force of the flush action to clear away the contents of the bowl, which is said to use less water than traditional systems, whenever the flush is activated. In fact, the brand says it uses just four- and-a-half litres on a large flush and three litres for a small one.

BETTE

Bette used this year’s virtual event to launch its new BetteEve bath collection.

Designed in collaboration with Dominik Tesseraux of design studio Tesseraux+Partner, the collection is inspired by nature with the elliptical shape said to give the impression that the bath has been smoothly hollowed out by running water.

BetteEve is available in 400 colours and in three versions: a freestanding model, an oval built-in option and a built-in bath with a rectangular surround. At 1,800mm x 1,000mm the baths are spacious and – because the organic shape naturally creates two focal points – said to be comfortable for two people to bathe together. For added comfort, each model includes back rests on both sides and a central waste outlet.

In addition to the BetteEve bath, Bette also launched two shower tray products. The brand revealed it had expanded its popular BetteUltra range with four new extra-large formats, which not only meet demand for super-sized options, but offer the stability and strength of glazed titanium-steel. It also unveiled the BetteFlat tray, which has been specifically designed to meet the legal standards for barrier-free access to bathrooms.
