Simon Emmons has been appointed as Saniflo’s new sales director. He will be working from its HQ in Watford with the aim to strengthen the company’s distribution network, which includes the Kinedo range of showers, trays and baths. Emmons was previously sales and marketing director at security and hardware firm Yale and prior to that worked in the white-goods sector for Whirlpool, LG, CDA and Electrolux. Emmons said: “In 2021, the company has not only seen a return to pre-epidemic business levels, but an increase in sales. I look forward to strengthening the distribution network for the domestic range and overseeing growth of commercial pumps and lifting stations and the Kinedo range of showers, trays and baths.”

GUY KINNELL
Guy Kinnell has taken over from Stuart Cook as the new CEO of Combined Independent (Holdings) Ltd, which is part of the Euronics buying group. Kinnell was brought in as deputy CEO in September last year to work alongside Cook to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption to the business. Kinnell was previously vice-president of Samsung’s TV and AV division in the UK and Ireland and has also worked in a variety of commercial and marketing roles. “I’m honoured to be in a position to support the future growth and transformation of such a diverse and quality membership,” Kinnell said. “ I look forward to bringing our goals to fruition in collaboration with our amazing members, the dynamic CIH team, and the Euronics community.”

Wilsonart has expanded its marketing team with two new appointments. Helen Dennett (left) has taken on the role of UK marketing communications manager and Sasha Betty has been hired as a digital marketing specialist. The team will oversee the company-wide growth plans and development of Wilsonart’s trio of bathroom brands: Mermaid Panels, Wetwall and Bushboard’s Nuance. Dennett previously held roles with Travis Perkins and Plumbase and has excellent knowledge of the industry and the needs of installers and merchants. Sasha Betty previously worked in the consumer market and her main goals will be to drive reach and awareness by providing a fresh pair of eyes and authentic and innovative campaigns.

Methven has made two new appointments as part of its growth strategy.
Catherine Seville-Clare comes to the
business as the head of UK marketing, and Chris Billingham is its new innovation programme manager. Seville-Clare will take care of both online and offline marketing activities. She has an extensive career in marketing and product management positions for brands like Jacuzzi, Twyford, PJH and most recently JLA Group. Billingham has worked for Mira, Rada, Kohler and Vax and has an established career developing products. He will be working with the team in the UK and also alongside Methven in New Zealand and the GWA Group in Australia.
