BRANDT DESIGN ROB BALFOUR


Brandt Design has expanded the team at its Finchley Road showroom, with the appointment of Rob Balfour as project


manager. Balfour has


experience in the premium end of the kitchen market having worked with Nicholas Anthony, Mowlem & Co and, most recently, at Bulthaup’s fl agship showroom on Wigmore Street. In his new role, he will be serving new and existing Brandt customers across both residential and contracts. Balfour is said to have a keen eye for design and to be dedicated to delivering the best design and customer service.

DURAVIT CHRISTIAN BRINKMANN


Duravit has appointed Christian Brinkmann as head of e-commerce in Europe from April 1. He graduated with a degree that focused on marketing and strategic management and then worked at Philips GmbH for more than 10 years. Handling accounts for international e-commerce customers, including Amazon, he also set up online shops and developed them into revenue drivers. Brinkmann said: “I’m delighted and honoured to be asked to manage Duravit’s e-commerce operations during this new and exciting chapter in its development.”


IMPERIAL BATHROOMS MATTHEW HANDLEY


Matthew Handley has joined Imperial Bathrooms as its new supply chain manager. The appointment will boost the company’s operations team. Handley graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a Master of Business Administration degree and has worked in production management for over 16 years. He said: “I feel honoured to become part of such a vibrant and dynamic business at what is a hugely diffi cult time for our sector. This is a well-executed move on my part, given the level of investment and growth in the company.”

UTOPIA BATHROOMS MATTHEW WELLS


Matthew Wells has been appointed as Utopia Bathrooms’ business develop- ment executive for the South-East region. Wells has eight years in the home-improvement sector. He was with Bathstore for six years, starting on the installation side before progressing into store management. Alex Patter- son, head of retail at Utopia, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Matthew on board at such an exciting, if challenging, time. His relevant experi- ence will be invaluable in strengthening our customer relationships and pre - sence in this key region.”

Swiss premium appliance brand V-Zug has appointed Martin Smy as technical service manager for the UK and Ireland. He takes over from his father Graham, who has retired

years in that position. Martin Smy has over 27 years of experience with roles at Liebherr and Sub-Zero Wolf. His role


will include providing service


training, technical support and product advice to V-Zug customers. V-Zug UK MD David Knight said: “We are very excited to have Martin on board to help drive the growth plan in the UK over the next fi ve years.”
