THE PROPERTY
This property is an ‘upside down’ house in the affluent suburb of Cyncoed in north-east Cardiff. Cyncoed is close to the city centre, but also close to many beautiful
parks and a lake, which makes it an
appealing location for homeowners that want to be close to the city centre but away from the daily hustle and bustle of city life.
THE CLIENTS
This is the second time our clients have renovated this unusual property, with a decade or so gap in between. This time around, having learnt from previous mistakes and things they grew to dislike from the first renovation, they knew exactly what they wanted the second time around. This stylish couple know luxury from travelling, but also know family living. Their home is one that is carefully planned out and centred around family.
THE BRIEF
This room was ultimately for relaxation. It had to have a freestanding bath. It had to have a spa-like feel, and it had to have functional and aesthetically pleasing elements in equal measure. Our client liked texture and tactile elements, but also didn’t want the overall feel to be disjointed or jarring. The colour palette had to be warmer, earthy tones – not too neutral, but still calming.

End and focus on their joint passion – bathrooms. Now into its fourth year, the brand has expanded to employ three additional members of staff. They have been finalists four times at the annual kbbreview awards and won numerous local awards, including young entrepreneur of the year for Bullock and a Cardiff-based award for Interior Design Company of the Year in 2020.
