Our Impact
Trusted NHS Partnerships Serving more than four million patients across the UK, SYNLAB has built strong, long-term relationships with the NHS through a series of partnerships that deliver efficient, resilient, and forward-looking pathology services. Tese include: • In May 2025 we were awarded a further 15+ year partnership with Te Christie, Europe’s largest single-site cancer centre, delivering a reliable and responsive pathology services for patients across Greater Manchester through The Christie Pathology Partnership.
• We were also awarded a 15+ year contract to provide a unified pathology service for mid and south Essex. Tis builds on the success of our Pathology First partnership with Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, in place since 2014, where we transformed services through our proven hub-and-spoke pathology network model.
• Synnovis, our biggest partnership and the largest NHS pathology transformation programme in the UK to date, supports hospitals, primary, and community care services across south east London. It includes the development of a
• Southwest Pathology Services, our long-standing, pioneering partnership with Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, in place since 2012, which, alongside Pathology First, laid the foundations for our transformative approach.

National Reach While our flagship NHS partnerships are among the largest in the UK, they represent only part of the picture. Trough our laboratories and infrastructure, SYNLAB supports hundreds of NHS Trusts, independent hospitals, clinics, insurers, occupational health providers and corporate organisations every year, including through our operations SYNLAB Laboratory Services and Lextox.
