Radici Group will be emphasising the role of its engineering compounds in parts for the electrica mobility sector, where product lightweighting and safety are key drivers. “We now have a portfolio of
flame-retardant and standard products (Radiflam and Radilon) that have passed the most stringent tests of prolonged exposure to high temperatures without any negative effects on the properties, including colour stability, which, in this case, has to remain orange for safety reasons”, says Erico Spini, Global Marketing Manager at RadiciGroup High Performance Polymers. The company will also show its

Sun Chemical will launch Microlen Blue 7460 ECO, a sustainable end-of-life product for use in com- postable plastics. The company says blue and green options are particu- larly limited when it comes to meeting regulatory requirements such as the EN 13432 compostability standard. It says Microlen Blue 7460 ECO significantly extends the workable colour space. The company will also present its solutions for mechanical recycling, including Sicopal Black K 0098 FK. This alternative to carbon black enables efficient sorting and re-pro- cessing of plastic waste and, as it is heat stable and widely supported for food contact applications, can substitute carbon black in many

formulations. Microlen Black 0098 MP and Eupolen PE Black 00-9805 will also be introduced at K, offering improved processability and eco- nomic benefits.
Sun Chemical will also showcase some new formulations for applica- tion in special effect pigments for automotive exteriors, where it is possible to provide a high sparkle and durable look using cutting-edge digitalisation software.

Tolsa will launch a new masterbatch version of its Adins range of additives for flame retardancy in Dusseldorf. The new masterbatches ease the
incorporation and dispersion of Adins additives in compounds, which Tolsa says lifts the performance and properties that these synergists provide. The company has com- menced commercialising the new masterbatch products for several systems commonly used within the wire and cable sector, including ethylene-vinyl-acetate (EVA), rubber formulations, TPE/TPU, and CPE.
Tosaf will present a series of new titanium oxide (TiO2
)-free master-
batches with what are described as ‘excellent’ properties in terms of whiteness, colour strength and opacity. The white TiO2
pigment is suspect-
ed of being carcinogenic when inhaled in powder form, and the EU has banned it as a food colourant
