requirements in pharmaceutical applica- tions or handling of hazardous materials. To ensure dust-tight operation, the OEB

This second-generation design is said to provide significant benefits in terms of flexibility, cleanability and time savings as individual components can be easily disassembled.


Other equipment on show will include the FlexWall universal gravimetric feeder, a liquid feeder, a fibre feeder, a DS feeder specially designed for pellets, and for the first time, two NX feeders from

Leistritz will display A ZSE 60 iMAXX extruder using its latest control and equipped with a synchronous motor from Kessler, which the company claims is one of the most energy efficient converters currently available on the market. The machine will also feature a gearbox fitted with a condition monitoring system, in which sensors record machine behaviour and enable a rapid overview of the condition of the equipment. The company will also be promoting some of the custom solutions it has developed for custom- ers. “We don’t sell anything simply off the shelf. Every one of our machines is designed individually to fulfill the needs of our customer,” says Daniel Nagl, Managing Director of Leistritz Extrusion Technology. The projects include a direct extrusion system for


production of bio-based wine stoppers for Vinventions and a recycling system for production of Classen Group’s Ceramin premium mineral-filled PP flooring products. The latter incorporates up to 60% recycled polymer content and provides line speeds of up to 9 tonnes/h, helped by the high degassing capacity of the ZSE MAXX extruders used. � www.leistritz.com
