MINDFUL EATING 101
What are some key resolutions that will be easy to stick to all year long?
1. PORTION CONTROL Use a smaller plate. Fill half with fruits and veggies and a quarter with carbohydrates (the grains should be mostly whole grains). The rest should be lean protein.
2. LIMIT SUGAR Avoid beverages like soda, juice, and sweetened coffee drinks or teas. With processed foods, choose those lower in added sugar. Limit sweet treats to special occasions.
3. PAY ATTENTION Eat slowly and pay attention to what you eat. Hydrate and eat meals at a table, not in the car or in front of your phone, computer, or television.
