The ro- bots use GPS and AI to navigate and are deployed on plots during the growing season. A shepherd/supervisor unit is connected to all the robots (maximum 50 per shepherd) and this supervises the herd, in- tervening remotely if necessary – for instance for remote mainte- nance or when entering a new plot or polygon on a map. There are currently 110 units active in France, Belgium and Austria. Availability: Vitirover is provided as a service per maintained hec- tare, for € 3,000/ha/year. Next developments include a version that is able to work on slopes up to 45% and a version that can manage hec- tares with over 10,000 obstacles per hectare (vine trees for instance).

It is powered by lithium batteries and has an electrical drive train capable of speeds up to 6 km/h. It can not only be used for spraying, but also for mowing, transportation and collecting data in orchards. It navi- gates by fusion inertial navigation and RTK GPS and integrated sen- sors including vision and ultrasonic radar. Path and task planning are done in an online portal after which the farmer sends the plan to the robot. Availability: Currently being tested in China and in 2021, the Webull Tank will be available for sale in Australia, Italy, Russia, Thailand and the United States from US$ 29,999.
