Beacon Mobility, we use AI for real-time route updates, predictive maintenance and traffic forecasting, all of which help reduce delays and fuel use while enhancing rider safety. One exciting example is Beacon Buddy, our internal AI assistant. Users can ask Beacon Buddy any question, ranging from creating a copy of a pay slip to helping fix a computer glitch. The program responds with a direct answer or will create a ticket and reroute the request to the best point person at the company. It’s a great example of how AI not


only enhances transportation systems but also improves employee experience and drives internal operational efficiency. Kyle DeVivo, Chief Operating Officer There is certainly a role that artificial intelligence can play to supplement the expertise that we have within our organization. AI allows a previously unfathomable amount of data points and information to be processed and turned into useful feedback that can be used to improve multiple areas of both operations and safety. As an example, video from on-board event recorders with AI applied to it can now provide us nearly instant feed- back and analysis so that instead of responding once a situation has already ended, there is now the opportunity to intervene and take corrective action almost immediately, which will ultimately lead to better outcomes in student management and overall safety. While it cannot replace most aspects of the services that we provide, it can allow us to make more
