and other incidents while also learning they have unique responsibilities. Meanwhile, Adroit launched in 2017 by supplementing school transportation in California and Arizona. Beacon Mobility acquired the service four years later and in Jan- uary 2023 expanded to the Midwest. Adroit requires its drivers to be at least 18 years old,
licensed to drive in the U.S. for at least one year, have ac- cess to a four-door vehicle that is no more than 10 years old, possess an in-state driver’s license and in-state auto insurance in their name, in-state license plates with current registration and working authorization. All Adroit drivers comply with all local and state regulations, undergo background checks, alcohol and drug testing, and tuberculosis screening where required.
