Pawar-LaRosa noted that the company has many

drivers who will stay with a student until they graduate or age out. EverDriven also recently celebrated a stu- dent-driver pairing that lasted nine years. “The only reason that ended is the student graduated,”

Bowling said. Pawar-LaRosa described the presence of camer- as in the company’s vehicles as “a must,” but added, “We consider cameras a necessary precaution. How- ever, if a parent expresses that they do not want their child recorded, we absolutely respect that choice and will not film. Our goal is to ensure everyone’s safety, and cameras help us do that, especially in situations where a student might unbuckle their seatbelt or have a behavioral incident. The footage provides clarity and accountability in those moments.” Images are not uploaded unless an incident occurs

during a ride. Pawar is also developing a new, stream- lined app for parents to track its drivers. “Yes, they love the phone call and that everything is personal, but at the end of the day, it’s also about convenience,” she said. “We want to let everybody know that as much as we’re going to be making changes, we’re not going to deviate from that personal touch.”

Each ride can be tracked with support personnel available to immediately contact drivers should issues arise. A dedi- cated support line exists for students with transportation service required on their individualized education pro- gram, “connecting parents and caregivers directly to our team before a student’s first ride, so we can make sure all their needs are known and met,” a company spokesper- son said. Safe Ride InSight is expanding to additional markets in the 17 states it serves after successful pilot tests in Arizo- na and Colorado, HopSkipDrive added. EverDriven, which operates in 34 states, has been

monitoring its driver’s trips in real time for years, provid- ing school districts and parents with an app to track and manage rides. Last year, the company added AI-powered
