Galileo E1, which are soon to start the CTIA Certification vali- dation process. The R&S TS8991 test system

from Rohde & Schwarz is a turnkey solution for meeting CTIA Certification OTA test requirements for 2G/3G A-GPS, 4G LTE A-GNSS and now also 5G A-GNSS. This system consists of the R&S CMX500 5G one-box sig- naling tester, the R&S SMB - V100B satellite simulator and an anechoic wireless performance test chamber (WPTC). It features a high degree of system integration and is easily

upgradeable. Every component is controlled using the R&S CON- TEST software, allowing for fully automated OTA measurements in compliance with CTIA Cer - tification test plans. The R&S CMX500 is a one-box solution for all mobile device testing applica- tions. It supports transmitter and receiver RF parametric measurements as well as testing for data throughput, audio quali- ty and battery life. This solution is integrated

MONROVIA, CA — AMADA WELD TECH has launched a range of galvo scan heads for pre- cision laser welding applications. Common usages for these scan- ning heads include point-to-point positioning for multi-point weld- ing, shape welding for hermetic seams, and beam weaving to increase weld width. Point-to-point positioning is

frequently employed where multi- ple welds are needed over a small area, for example, electronic con- nector leads. The jump speed is nearly instantaneous compared to either traditional motion stages or

robotic motion, and can dramati- cally decrease cycle times. Contour welding: galvo

scanning heads are adept at steering the laser beam in an XY plane to create a seam weld of any programmed shape. This is commonly used for electronic package welding, where a specif- ic motion is necessary to create a hermetic seal, and for lap weld- ing configurations where addi- tional weld contact is required. Wobble is an extension of

the seam welding application, in which the scanning head “wob- bles” the beam in a small area to increase the melt pool. This improves the manufacturability of parts with lower tolerances on fit-up between the parts. The galvo scan heads all fea-
