BRIGHTON, MI —Nikon IMBU has launched three new models in its VOXLS range of X-ray CT (computed tomography) systems for non- destructive inspection. The 30 series fills a spe- cific need in the industry for an automation- ready system with the versatility to meet a wide range of industrial applications. The high-performance VOXLS 30 C 225,
30 C 320 and 30 C 450 models are now available to order and have maximum source energies of 225, 320 and 450 kV re- spectively for examining parts of various densities and sizes. They also have a more compact footprint than Nikon’s 40 series while maintaining advanced features of larger, more expensive solutions.
Nikon Expands X-ray CT System Range The systems are designed for automated
operations across the production sector, espe- cially for quality control in factories produc- ing lithium-ion batteries or additively manu- factured components. The automotive, aero- space, medical and pharmaceutical indus- tries are additional target markets. At the core of this series is a metrology-

grade, granite-based manipulator coupled with rigid steel towers, which provides a thermally stable and solid construction. High-precision motors, ball screw drives and encoders ensure precise positioning and accurate movement of all axes, including the synchronous vertical mo- tion of the X-ray sources and detectors. The 30 Series complements Nikon’s flag-
ship VOXLS 40 C 450, a larger capacity model launched in early 2023. Both 40 Se- ries and 30 Series systems operation is en- hanced by the manufacturer’s extensive CT acquisition tech nologies and recon- struction algorithms, including X.Tend Helical CT, Offset.CT, Panel Shift, Pixel

The MAS-i4 is the latest generation selective soldering machine with the highest flexibility and output. The system features an XY servo table for two independent fluxer nozzles (fluxer 1 and fluxer 2). The distance between the fluxers is automatically adjusted by servo motors, as programmed by the software.
Customers can choose to use only one fluxer for all boards so it can accommodate two flux types in one machine, or they can choose to use two fluxers with the same flux. For preheat- ing, the MAS-i4 is equipped with a top convection preheating zone and bottom IR preheating zone. The top preheating zone
