www.us - tech.com Europlacer Debuts Premium Stencil Printer

PHOENIX, AZ — Europlacer has launched a brand-new screen printer, developed at the compa- ny’s stencil printing research labs in the U.K. The ii-P7 printer is the latest addition to Euro- placer’s full-line-solution portfo- lio and is a premium, state-of- the-art platform. The new ii-P7 introduces

productivity enhancements that include a maintenance-free print - head offering active closed-loop squeegee pressure and zero squeegee calibration. The new platform accommodates stencil sizes from 23 to 29 in. (584 to 736 mm)without an adaptor, reducing setup and changeover times in high-mix assembly environments. Compared to Europlacer’s

current flagship EP710 printer, which the new ii-P7 supersedes, print cycle time performance in standard mode is shortened by 25% and reduced by more than 50% with special motor technolo- gy available as an option.

WACKER Intros Highly Adhesive

Silicone Gel ADRIAN, MI — WACKER has developed its SILPURAN® 2124, a silicone adhesive suitable for medical wearable electronics. SILPURAN silicone adhe-

sives have a proven track record over many years for bonding atraumatic wound dressings. With SILPURAN 2124, WACK- ER is expanding its line of sili- cone adhesives to include a sili- cone gel that adheres exception- ally strongly to the skin yet al- lows gentle and pain-free re- moval. SILPURAN 2124 achieves

an adhesive force of 6.0 newtons per 2.5 centimeters, determined in the 90° pull-off test on steel in accordance with EN 1639. This makes the adhesion so strong that the new gel can not only be used in wound care, but is also suitable for other skin fixation applications. For example, SIL - PURAN 2124 can be used to pro- duce adhesive layers or tapes for fixing wearables, i.e. sensors, catheters, cannulas or other medical devices and equipment, to the skin for short or medium wear times. The new product is a transparent, two-component low- viscosity silicone gel. At 3,000 millipascal seconds, it has a vis- cosity that is optimally matched to the coating process and en-

ables simple and fast dosing. Contact: Wacker Chemical

See at IME West, Booth 2121 In addition to speed and pro-

ductivity enhancements, the ii-P7 provides practical usability im- provements that streamline the screen printing process and broad- en the base of boards and sub- assemblies the printer can han- dle. Key among these improve- ments is an underside component clearance of 1.2 in. (30 mm) that leads the market in this surface mount printer class. It is aimed at the increasing number of manu- facturers assembling complex double-sided boards with tall un- derside components. The ii-P7 runs upgraded Eu-

roplacer OS (iiPS) software that delivers intuitive step-and-repeat functions for inspection, dispens- ing and label placement process- es, improved processing of low-

contrast fiducials as well as a faster commissioning procedure. The ii-P7 also introduces

significant enhancements to the underscreen cleaning process that is critical to print quality and process control. Improved paper management and fluid control are supported by an ex- ternal solvent tank that deploys

industry-standard bottles. Contact: Europlacer Americ- as, 4640 Elwood Street, Suite 14,
