ver the years, the RYA has continually progressed and evolved. From the start, 150 years ago, we’ve been committed to representing our members. As a sports national governing body we are proud that the


RYA’s worldwide training schemes have helped individual boaters achieve ˧˛˘˜˥ ˔ˠ˕˜˧˜˦ ˛˜˘ ˅ˌʴʠ˔˙Ѓ˜˔˧˘˗ ˖˨˕˦ ˔˗ ˖˘˧˥˘˦ ˛˔˩˘ ˕˥˨˚˛˧ boating and watersports into their local communities. We’ve helped people discover freedom on the water and many inspirational stories wouldn’t have been possible without the RYA. We also champion accessibility, making boating more open to everyone.


And we’re promoting responsible, environmentally conscious boating practices, so our waters remain safe and healthy for generations to come. As RYA Presidents, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and then HRH The Princess


Royal have played an important role for the RYA. And, as we approach our ˙Ѓ˖˜˔ ʤʨʣ˧˛ ˔˜˩˘˥˦˔˥ ʤ ˁ˩˘ˠ˕˘˥ ˘ ˘˥˘ ˛˨˥˘˗ ˛˘ ˧˛˘ Princess generously gave her time to be interviewed for the magazine, which you can read on page 20.
