Portugal’s Bernardo Costa Cabral Named Course Designer for LONGINES FEI Jumping World Cup™ Finals in Omaha
Omaha, Nebraska – June 7, 2022 – Bernardo Costa Cabral of Portugal has been selected as the course de- signer for the LONGINES FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final, one of three Finals to be held during the FEI World Cup™ Finals 2023, April 4-8, 2023, at the CHI Health Center Omaha, site of the highly acclaimed FEI World Cup™ Finals 2017, which hosted Jumping and Dressage. The FEI World Cup™
Finals are annual indoor championships among the world’s best horses and ath- letes. Next year’s Finals in Omaha will feature the LONGINES FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final, FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final and FEI Vaulting World Cup™ Final. It will mark the first time the Vaulting Final will be held in North America. “Bernardo Cabral is
one of the most respected course designers in the sport of show jumping, and we have been honored to have
him as a course designer at International Omaha in the past,” said Lisa Roskens, Chairman of the Omaha Equestrian
Foundation
(OEF), which is producing next year’s Finals. “His in- volvement will help ensure that the courses are worthy of the caliber of horses and riders participating in the Fi- nals, and we couldn’t be happier to be working with him.”
Born in Lisbon, Portu-
gal, in 1975, Cabral, an FEI Level 4 course designer, started riding at the age of 9 and was always drawn to show jumping and course designing in particular. As a teenager, he assisted and learned from 2012 Olympic course designer Bob Ellis (GBR), and he continues to draw inspiration from those tracks today. Cabral has designed
for many international events including the Euro- pean Championships, Aus- trian

Top Course Designers Lay the Tracks for 2022 USEF Summer Series at World Equestrian Center – Ocala
Ocala, Fla. – June 1, 2022 – Top course designers lay the tracks for the 2022 USEF Summer Series at World Equestrian Center – Ocala, which features nine weeks of US Equestrian Premier Hunter/Level 6 Jumper competition. The nine-week series will take place from June 15-August 14 and will showcase two weeks of CSI3* international compe- tition during Weeks III and IV on June 21-26 and June 28-July 3. A group of the world’s
top course designers will set the jumper tracks in the Grand Arena,
including
Alan Wade (IRL), Guil- herme Jorge (BRA), Manuel Esparza (MEX), Peter Grant (CAN), Catsy Cruz (MEX), Doug Russell (USA), Andy Christiansen (ECU), Joey Rycroft (CAN) and Tucker Williams (USA). Andy Christiansen, a
Fédération Equestre Interna- tionale (FEI) Level 3 course designer, will set the open- ing tracks for the 2022 USEF Summer Series. Christiansen is an accom- plished hunter designer who recently received his license as a FEI course designer. In that short time, Christiansen has received high praise for his tracks from many top riders.

4 course designer, Guil- herme Jorge of Brazil, will design during the CSI3* Week III. Jorge is a gifted designer, having created tracks for some of the largest

He de- signed at Saratoga in New York for nine years and has built courses at some of the most historic horse shows in the U.S.,
