STAR INSTALLATION YLE nability under the spotlight.

subtle yet stylish ivory wall of crackle-effect Catton tiles from the Vintage range has been applied behind the bar, providing a luxurious iridescent aesthetic.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind KILN’s stunning makeover, Designer Aisling Ryan said: “Solus’ tiles played an important role in helping us to meet our brief of composing a relaxed and appealing atmosphere with an emphasis on ethical design.

“The products’ stylish appearance adds a hint of intrigue to the restaurant’s retro palette, while the composite material content of Sparken and Attract builds on the eco- friendly vibe. The visually impressive hosting stand offers a formal first impression, signalling the move away from a casual canteen style of service towards a more refined dining experience.”

Solus Area Sales Manager Lee Simmonds added: “The design and layout of the KILN restaurant reflects Midlands Arts Centre’s commitment to making the creative world accessible to all, and to moving towards a more sustainable way of living, working, and socialising. The team at 2G Design & Build has proved that a beautiful balance can be achieved between sustainability and aesthetic appeal if you think outside the box.”
