New 3D design technology has given interior designers, retailers and other industry professionals a platform to increase their productivity, accuracy and conversion rates by providing the tools to create amazing designs.

I have found that many of our customers looking to make the investment in new tiles can find the process overwhelming when there are so many available options. Which style should they opt for? Are some options more suited to certain rooms in the home or retail space? Which colours will match their current interior? Inevitably, most people will struggle to visualise projects coming together, which can slow down the decision-making process.

Since the arrival of 3D design technology, companies can add an additional element of customer service in the form of design advice. This is helpful for both clients and employees, who may also face challenges when asked for design advice from customers. The technology is quite simple to use and allows you to create lifelike 3D renderings, which enables customers

to see their renovation dreams brought to life.

Another benefit that it provides is the opportunity to really get to know your clients- by sitting down with them, you are able to get a real feel for what their requirements and personal preferences are. Many clients may not be sure what they like. However, being able to get a sense of the colour, size and design of tiles and bathroom fittings is often a critical factor in ensuring the perfect product is purchased.

For larger projects, we would always advise clients to work with us on creating a 3D visualisation of their interior project. This may mean visiting their home, or we are sometimes able to work off measurements.

From a retailer’s point of view, technology also helps with accuracy, as you’re able to input exact measurements and order the correct material, resulting in less wastage and product returns. It gives clients peace of mind and the ability to see a number of different options. So, if, for example, you stock a particular

tile in five colourways or a range of textures, you can be sure the right colour is selected.

One of the most popular tile brands that we stock is the Italian favourite, Flaviker, which features an extensive range of styles within its collections. With such a vast array of large- format options in different shades, identifying the best fit is made far more straight-forward with the design technology.

Tiling designs are quickly created using templates and a tiling wizard. With each tile being a 3D model rather than a repeatable image, grout width, depth, colour and alignment can all be adjusted with ease.

Furthermore, here at Real Stone & Tile, we are an exclusive stockist of luxury BAGNODESIGN bathroom solutions and fittings. With the 3D design service, customers are able to visualise these premium products within their home and are more likely to purchase additional fixtures to achieve the ultimate, aspirational look.
