Membrane in Action Discover how ThermoSphere Membrane helped to bring a tired and scruffy warehouse floor back to life.
An old, cracked and spoored concrete warehouse floor needed a lot of treatment to become the ground floor reception, catering and recreational area of ThermoSphere HQ. With the project on an intensely tight timescale, we knew we had the solution right here in our portfolio.
In a single day, over 100m2 of ThermoSphere Membrane was laid
using our flexible cement-based tile adhesive, which provided the ideal grab-strength we needed on the old floor. Our construction team worked through the night to install more than 1200m of ThermoSphere heating cable in six zones and the tilers started tiling the next day.
This fast-track installation took care of the risk of cracking, delamination and meant that, in the space of just three days, we could get from bare concrete to fully tiled, keeping the project on track.
