A NEW GENERATION OF STAINFREE CARPET
Adored by feet in homes right across the country, StainFree by Abingdon Flooring has become one of the nation’s most loved carpet ranges. Now, with the manufacturer revealing the fourth generation of the carpet, the passion for this classic style is set to be renewed.
Abingdon Flooring has developed a new PP yarn that has a finer quality, now in a 1/10th gauge over the previous generation’s 1/8th gauge. Giving StainFree Twist and StainFree Ultra a softer feel that’s immediately noticeable beneath fingers and toes, the new yarn trades nothing in terms of performance. Stain-resistant and safe to clean with diluted bleach, StainFree Twist and StainFree Ultra are ready to tackle the busiest family homes.
Yet Abingdon Flooring hasn’t just improved the fibre, including a new fleece backing that doesn’t scuff skirting boards and makes the carpet easier to handle. Cleverly, the fleece back also heightens the perception of softness for feeler samples on displays and lecterns. And in 2, 2.5, 4 and 5m options, there is a StainFree Twist or StainFree Ultra in a width perfect for any room.
MADE IN HEAVEN WINS FLOORING INNOVATION AWARD
From over 100 entries, the Made in Heaven polyester carpet collection from Balta Carpets has been awarded a National Flooring Innovation Award.
In the inaugural awards, judged by key industry figures and Deborah Barker, editor-in-chief of Homes & Gardens and 25 Beautiful Homes, the Made in Heaven collection was considered among the very best man- made carpets available today. The Gold winner will be announced at this September’s Flooring Show.

Rounding out a major generational update for the collection, this new colourbank also reflects the dominance of grey in today’s carpet choices.
