FLOORING SHOW LIVE GUIDE 2018 Take to the Floor Widely recognised as the UK’s national flooring event, 2018 marks the 56th
edition of the Flooring Show. Here, we take a look at what will be going on at this year’s show.

The place where flooring in all its forms takes the starring role under one roof, the Harrogate Convention Centre is once again the host of the highly-anticipated annual Flooring Show this September.
The event will take place from 16th - 18th
September in Harrogate, Yorkshire. From contractors and fitters, to flooring retailers and interior designers, the show is known for delivering a great overview of what’s new and some great networking opportunities to interest all visitors.
Hundreds of exhibitors will once again showcase their latest innovations, covering every type of flooring, as well as tools and related accessories. We will also be given an insight into new technologies, designed to make the daily life of the flooring professionals easier.
Kane Thomas, Event Manager of Ocean Media Group, which bought the

show last year, said: “The show always plays host to some major new product launches from key UK and European suppliers and meeting the people behind the brands and understanding the products makes specifying so much easier – it means you can be confident in your choices when it really matters.”
On Tuesday morning, 18th September,
the show will be hosting a special networking event for interior designers to meet the flooring designers from key exhibiting companies. It’s a perfect opportunity to hear what new flooring developments are underway from the teams who are creating them. This event is supported by the SBID, but non- members are welcome to attend.
In addition, visitors will be able to book a free, 30-minute, guided ‘Trend Briefing’ at the show. Led by Laura Greenwood of specialist interior design trend forecasters Scarlet Opus, each

session will give a quick overview of which key global consumer and design trends will affect the flooring market in the coming months and in 2019.
The show has two Demo Zones in Halls B and M, hosted by the Flooring Industry Training Association (FITA), supported by the Carpet Fitters Association (CFA) and National Institute of Carpet and Floorlayers (NICF).
