Distinctive Flooring Unveils New Branding and Products at Flooring Show

Bringing together all areas of the flooring industry, including retail and contract sectors, exhibitors and visitors came together for three days of business and networking at The Flooring Show in Harrogate in September.

Distinctive Flooring, part of the Victoria Plc., had a particularly exciting year at The Flooring Show 2018 as they unveiled their new branding and new product ranges ahead of their 2019 launch.

The team, including several new faces in both sales and marketing, were on hand throughout the show helping current and potential new customers to find the perfect flooring solutions for their customers and upcoming commercial projects.

As a young company, Distinctive Flooring has been in operation since 2010, offering both carpet tiles and luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), but at the show the company revealed an expanded

range of brand-new LVT colours, a refreshed carpet tile range, their modern and eclectic ‘Tapestry’ LVT, new ceramics and more. With products available in 0.55mm and 0.7mm wear layers, all of Distinctive Flooring’s new LVT products will be available with a lifetime guarantee for residential customers and 12-15 years’ guarantee for commercial installations.

Richard Hackett, Distinctive Flooring’s Sales and Marketing Director, commented: “We have been working hard on how best to connect with our target audience as a brand and business over the last six months.

Gary Alp, Sales Manager at Lano, said: “We were delighted with the response we received for Pashmina. Retailers loved the dense and precise velvet pile that gives this quality a premium feel and it’s sure to be loved by homeowners too. The fact that Pashmina and Pashmina Luxe offer stain-resistance and fade- free colour also helps to underline that beauty and comfort don’t have to come at the price of practicality.”

Lano also used the show to premiere Touchdown’s Serenade, a luxurious 60oz soft-touch Saxony crafted from stain-resistant Eccelena yarn. Bringing 16 modern colours, four and five-metre width options and a beautifully soft feel, Serenade is perfect for homes looking for luxury carpet that’s cost- effective and practical too. Elsewhere in Touchdown, Lano showed a brand- new look for Fascination, bringing Fascination and Imagination together and reworking the palette to include

“As well as coming to the retail market with exciting new and improved ranges, we are also entering into the commercial arena for the first time with a fantastic range of carpet tiles and ceramics, allowing us to become a one-stop-shop for hard flooring specifiers.

“We truly believe that we have the right products – from colour and design through to quality – at competitive prices, and we’re so excited to see what the future has in store for our company and our customers.”

existing best-selling colours and new on-trend shades.

“Fascination and Imagination have been two stalwarts in our line-up and bringing them together to present a mix of plain and heather styles in the same quality seems to have gone down very well indeed. “With the new-look Fascination we’re bringing more clarity to the Touchdown collection while keeping the brand’s formidable choice,” Gary added.

Fans of the X Concept collection, Lano’s answer to high-end residential carpet, were previewed the brand-new Pleasure, a luxurious polyamide 6.6 velvet quality retaining polyamide’s exquisite softness and silk-like look, this is a carpet sure to bring pleasure to any home.

Gary concluded: “This year’s show proved particularly fruitful for us and certainly felt busier and more positive than recent years. The response we had to our launches and colour updates reflected this, and we’re looking forward to rolling them out to stores around the country shortly.”
