Once considered one of the most significant species in eastern USA, the American chestnut is a rapidly growing deciduous hardwood tree. The palettes of each style are rooted in the concept of the natural world: Savage Abundance brings a palette of 14 sand-like neutrals and sea greys, while Natural Embrace brings stone- like greys and rich teals, ochre, plum, terracotta and clay across 18 shades. For the 17 colours of Bold Indulgence, Balta has been inspired by a similar palette of intense natural colours and tonal greys.


All carpets in Wild Luxury come with Balta’s TwinBack secondary backing for improved underfoot feel, better stability and easier fitting.

Faithfully replicating the characteristics of these traditional wood planks, the new Reclaimed Chestnut design features a colour palette from light browns to dark chocolate and a subtle matte finish for an eclectic yet authentic appearance.


Being scarce in its natural form, reclaimed American chestnut floors are often collated from many sources and feature a mix and match pattern of planks so, for additional authenticity, Karndean’s Reclaimed Chestnut is also available in random plank sizes for a striking and unique floor design.
