WOOD & LAMINATE FOCUS ON as a Picture

ere she could both live and paint, the assigned architects turned to wood flooring m achieve the desired rustic look.

warping that can often occur with solid wood planks. In an open-plan space such as The Studio, where the flooring is exposed to changes in temperature, humidity from the kitchen and daily footfall, an engineered wood floor was essential. Looking to the floor’s aesthetic qualities, the classic herringbone pattern and golden oak tones of the boards work to highlight the natural knots and grains of the oak wood, coordinating with the matching skirting to create a sense of continuity and definition. Combining touches of classic design with contemporary, industrial elements, the warm, accessible and light space has revitalised the artist and her creative output, to stimulate and fortify her for years to come.

Concentrating almost exclusively on wood flooring, Havwoods’ collection of engineered and solid wood floors is available in an extensive range of species, finishes and plank dimensions, offering customers a selection of over 1,000 different types of wood flooring to choose from.
