MCR Safety has introduced an advanced Ultraviolet Light Cured coating known as UV-Curved. It’s the latest technology designed to combat the problem of lens misting. It’s the first of its kind and completely unique to MCR Safety. It offers greatly enhanced performance when compared to the traditional oven-baked curing process and above all, it has huge environmental benefits.
From an eco-friendly perspective the benefits are significant due to massively reduced power consumption in the manufacturing process. New UVC Anti-Mist Coating has been independently calculated to consume 87% less energy than traditional thermal curing. By switching to the new process, MCR prevent up to 12,862 kgs of CO2 being emitted each month. Also, fewer chemicals are used which has yet more obvious environmental benefits.

Spectacles treated with new UVC coating are eco-friendly, any business or individual concerned with ecological issues should naturally be drawn to these products over traditional oven-baked anti-mist coatings. Advanced Ultraviolet Light Cured Coating outperforms regular oven-baked anti-mist coating by up to three times. Standard thermal cured anti-mist lenses can endure two to three sets of 80C hot water steam tests. UVC coating can maintain a mist-free state for up to three times longer.
