The SmartBelt provides a stream of real time data which measures and corrects the way that workers bend, lift, twist, and stretch. Using haptic feedback, when movement that is considered of high ergonomic risk is detected, the worker is alerted which will begin to change behaviours to manual handling. The data can be analysed to help to provide more targeted health and safety training, or a change of process, leading to improved productivity and a reduction musculoskeletal injury.

Another benefit of AI wearable technology is the ability to keep workers safe from operated machinery. Statistics show us for example that when people and machines operate together in close proximity, the likelihood of workplace accidents inevitably rises. The Modjoul SmartBelt can communicate with machinery operators and other workers in the vicinity, while simultaneously measuring ergonomics and environmental factors.
