CONTACTLESS FIRST APPROACH WITH CONCEPT

EVOLUTION RANGE The Concept Evolution range of facilities, workplace and workforce management solutions from FSI employ a ‘contactless first’ approach, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of employees, facilities staff, and contractors.

Contractors can use their own devices for checking-in upon arrival at site rather than the on-site touch screen kiosk.

Geo-fencing technology confirms their proof of attendance, and once approved, relevant induction processes, health check surveys, and the tasks to be carried out are released to their device for completion.

With the digital permit to work system fully integrated into the process, you are assured that only qualified and validated personnel can carry out the work. The importance of adherence to correct

COPPER ANTIMICROBIAL FILM PROVIDES PROTECTION

FOR MULTIPLE SURFACES A new copper-infused antimicrobial film is set to help address many of the challenges facing many working environments today. Keeping people and employees as safe as possible when out and about is paramount.

While social distancing protocols and frequent hand washing forms an integral part of daily operations, the antimicrobial film will also reduce transmission rates, particularly when used in conjunction with a comprehensive cleaning management programme.

Antimicrobial coatings can play an important role in reducing bacterial transmission. The specific addition of copper has been proven to kill many germs on contact. These copper-alloy films are perfect for any frequently touched surfaces such as desks, door handles, touchscreens, counters, hand rails and power switches.

Copper film has an inherent ability to kill a wide range of harmful microbes relatively rapidly – often within two

PPE and hazard awareness is also highlighted.

Maximising the effectiveness of the contractor visit is very important. Pre-visit questionnaires and detailed requirements of work can be completed prior to attendance at site. Real-time verification that work has been successfully completed minimises additional unnecessary return visits, reducing exposure and contact.

Continuing with workforce optimisation, safe routes and a contactless checkpoint for cleaning staff can be created. As the cleaner carries out their duties, they can ‘check-in’ within range of specified locations and immediately receive tasks. This not only reduces cost but also minimises unnecessary physical contact.

For employees returning to the workplace, even regular office routines are now a cause for concern. Through a scheduling assistant, staff can check availability and book a short

hours or less – and with a high degree of efficiency.

COVID-19 transmits in two ways, from the cough discharge of an infected person and when the eye or mucous membrane is touched with a virus- contaminated hand.

Viruses can survive longer on hard surfaces than soft, such as those with fibres. This copper antimicrobial film starts working against viruses and bacteria immediately on contact. It reaches ~+90% reduction in 30 minutes and 99% in four hours. The film uses 99.9% pure copper and contains 100,000ppm copper. Effectiveness lasts for up to three months depending on the aftercare programme and touch frequency.

The film is easy to install with self- adhesive and is available in 30-metre rolls or sheets. It can be cleaned with typical household cleaning

time slot for their personal use of such facilities, to avoid congregating. These on-demand services also instigate cleaning tasks based upon usage, acknowledging necessary health and safety practices whilst increasing resource productivity.

With the Concept Advantage suite of workplace apps, an organisation can digitally communicate their work to ensure the facilities are safe to visit. The apps also provide a focal point for users to raise any concerns they may have. Issues can be assessed, and actions relayed back to the business, providing reassurance of the continual improvement taking place.

products, such as non-alcohol based multipurpose cleaners or water.

Managing Director, Joey Kim, highlighted: “This film is ideal for offering some protection against killing bacteria on prime, high volume surfaces. While no material can completely eliminate the risk, if used alongside other regular measures and a comprehensive cleaning programme this film can help in reducing and limiting the level of exposure.
