Below-ground sewers and surface water drains that CCTV drain surveys show have multiple cracks or displaced joints, and cast iron stack pipes can be rehabilitated – either with installation of short ‘patch liners’ or full-length liners.
These create a smooth internal surface that reduces the risk of blockages (and for cast iron pipes eliminates corrosion build-up). It also makes them easier to clean and strengthens them, with a design life of up to 50 years.
