NEW APPOINTMENT PUTS SPOTLIGHT ON ADVANCED’S
EMERGENCY LIGHTING Global fi re and life safety systems manufacturer, Advanced, has appointed Hanif Ghodawala as new business development manager for its emergency lighting division.
Hanif will draw on more than 20 years’ experience working for high-profi le fi re detection and emergency lighting manufacturers and distributors to grow awareness and understanding of Advanced’s emergency lighting range. He will place particular focus on the LuxIntelligent and EasySafe solutions and how they make compliance with BS 5266 easy.
The LuxIntelligent addressable automatic test system examines all emergency lighting to check it is compliant. It provides cloud monitoring and management via mobile and web apps, with test data stored securely in the cloud, removing the need for manual intervention. PRINCIPLE UNVEILS SAFE SPACE VIDEO IN PREPARATION FOR RETURN
TO THE WORKPLACE Principle Cleaning Services, which launched Safe Space at the end of last year in conjunction with Hygiena and Gem Scientifi c, has unveiled a new video to illustrate how Safe Space protects people in the workplace.
Safe Space was created after Principle identifi ed a need for more rigorous and evidence-based cleaning methods due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which will mitigate the risk of workplace infection. Since its launch, the company has seen a huge demand with over 50% of its clients already engaged.

technical features. EasySafe is a new range of addressable, low-voltage emergency luminaires and exit signs that work with LuxIntelligent control panels and can be installed and maintained without the need for a qualifi ed electrician.
Hanif said: “My main role will be to identify and develop new business opportunities in key sectors including education and healthcare. The Advanced emergency lighting range offers many benefi ts, such as LuxIntelligent’s cloud monitoring and management and EasySafe’s low-voltage, eco-friendly LED solutions, all of which are ideally suited to delivering enhanced safety in premises such as these.

Additionally, Principle’s in-house PCS Connect system creates a dynamic schedule based on real time occupancy, which replaces traditional predetermined scheduling. This improves accuracy - cleaning where and when required, and effi ciency - avoiding unnecessary tasks, allowing more focused activities and improved standards.
