About this Product/Service
Teknomek, a UK-based manufacturer and supplier of hygienic furniture and equipment, launched a brand-new laboratory furniture range this year, marking the first time in its 40- year history that it has offered powder-coated solutions. Manufactured from mild steel with white powder-coated frames for a clean, contemporary look, every product is made to order, delivering maximum flexibility and high performance.
Designed to support environments with exacting hygienic standards, the range offers excellent accessibility so all parts of the furniture, and the spaces around it, can be easily reached for thorough cleaning. The products also support good air- circulation, with unnecessary solid sides removed to prevent dead air traps.
This modular furniture range includes C- and H-frame benches, island units, cupboards and shelving, all available in a variety of sizes and configurations to meet specific requirements. Both C- and H-frame benches offer the option of a suspended rolling rail, allowing under-counter cupboards to be added and reconfigured when needed. Cupboards are raised off the floor to reduce dust build-up and improve cleaning access, supporting strict hygiene standards. Storage units can slide along the rail to adapt to changing laboratory needs or shared workstations.
While fixed-to-wall options are available for permanent installations, most tables and cupboards can be repositioned to suit evolving layouts, with castors optional for laboratories that require easily moveable furniture.
For enhanced chemical, scratch and impact resistance, the range features Trespa TopLab PLUS worktops, ideal for laboratories, research facilities and healthcare environments thanks to their ultra-durable, non-porous, antibacterial surface built for robust cleaning protocols.
Michelle Locke, Product and Marketing Manager at Teknomek, explained: “There is significant demand for white powder- coated furniture for laboratories and changing rooms. Every time a customer selects from this new range, the product will be made to order and fully customised, from size and configuration to colour choices.”
