WHAT’S NEW? HAPPIEST WORKPLACE
COMPETITION 2018 OPENS Wylde IA, a workplace and interior design consultancy, has invited companies to enter the annual Happiest Workplace Competition for the fourth year running.
This year’s competition has the support of mental health charity MIND so the judges will be paying particular attention to those supporting mental health and wellness in the workplace.
Maxine Bennett, Wylde IA Director, said: “We can’t wait to see who’s going to enter this year, I’ve got a feeling we might be in for some real surprises. This year we’ll be paying particular attention to those who support and encourage healthy mental health so it’ll be interesting to see the initiatives businesses have adopted to encourage this.”
This year Wylde IA has joined forces with iconic lamp manufacturer Anglepoise, furniture manufacturers The Senator Group and Allermuir - all of whom have donated prizes for the lucky winners.

Tom Hore of MIND said: “We’re delighted to be supporting this year’s Wylde IA Happiest Workplace competition. Strong and successful organisations make good mental health and wellbeing of their staff one of their key priorities. In fact, of all the improvements that can be made within organisations, improving staff mental health and wellbeing is probably the most cost effective.”
Last year’s overall winner was independent hospital Circle Bath. It was evident Circle Bath employees were passionate and proud of their work with all staff having a voice and
comprehensive choice of sizes from 150cm to 180cm diameter and 120cm to 180cm in length.
“Setting up an open area into a dining room, meeting room or conference space can be time-consuming and difficult,” said Craig Kent, Production Director at Burgess Furniture. “The new A-Fold table is designed to make it easy and quick to adapt a room when hosting different types of events.
“The folding mechanism was very carefully designed by our team, to be smooth, safe and simple so that anyone can set the A-Fold table up.
“It’s a very practical solution that’s also very stylish, each design was carefully created to ensure it complements existing décor for the professional, quality experience that guests expect,” Craig continued.
The A-Fold table is the latest new product from innovative furniture maker Burgess, following on from
the launch of its Smart Qube flexible hospitality furniture range and Junea chair collection earlier this year.
Based at a dedicated factory in South West London with an in-house creative team, Burgess Furniture continues to push the boundaries of modern furniture design, producing on-trend, innovative solutions for its international client base.
