10 QUESTIONS WITH... GLENN WILSON
In each issue we ask an FM professional the Tomorrow’s FM 10 Questions, this month we spoke to Glenn Wilson, Head of Operations, Incentive FM Group
Q4
IF MONEY WAS NO OBJECT, WHAT CAR
WOULD YOU BUY?
Unlike our Chairman, I am not a massive car fan so I wouldn’t go for anything special, just a fully-loaded Range Rover Vogue.
Q5 Q1
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?
My first job was an Office Junior within the Logistics Industry. Despite the fancy title, it essentially meant I was a Tea Boy, we all have to start somewhere.
Q2
HOW DID YOU GET INTO THE FACILITIES
MANAGEMENT INDUSTRY?
Until I moved to Incentive FM, I had spent my entire working life in Logistics. I had previously worked for our now CEO, Martin Reed and with our current MD, Bruce McDonnell so they both knew what I was capable of. I was approached to become a Regional Manager for the company and have been here ever since.
Q3
WHO, IN ANY OTHER INDUSTRY,
DO YOU MOST ADMIRE?
The recently crowned Wimbledon champion, Roger Federer. His talent coupled with his dedication to the sport means he always delivers and has become an incredible sportsman.

HOW WOULD YOU IMPROVE THE
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
INDUSTRY? I believe that the industry should focus more on developing people rather than centring business around profits. A dedicated and experienced team will ensure that profits would look after themselves.
Q6
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO
BE WHEN YOU WERE
GROWING UP? I’ve always wanted to be a professional golfer. Unfortunately, I had to settle for beating colleagues at golf days – they aren’t as good competition but it’ll do.
Q7 Q8
IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPER
POWER FOR A DAY, WHAT
WOULD IT BE AND WHY? I’d like to have the ability to see into the future – that way I’d be able to pick the correct lottery numbers and buy my Range Rover Vogue.
IF YOU COULD HOST A DINNER PARTY
WITH ANY THREE GUESTS, DEAD OR ALIVE, WHO
WOULD THEY BE AND WHY? I would have to choose Andrew Flintoff as we have similar
Q9
WHAT DO YOU THINK IS THE
FUTURE OF THE FACILITIES
MANAGEMENT INDUSTRY? I believe that technology will play a massive part in the evolving FM industry. I also think that joint ventures will increasingly come to the fore, but ultimately, I think that developed and engaged people will continue to play a pivotal role.
Q10
GUY PAKENHAM, MD AT CORDANT
CLEANING ASKED: HOW DO YOU OVERCOME THE EVER INCREASING DRIVE TO SIMPLY REDUCE THE
COST OF FM? We demonstrate the value for money in innovative solutions and ensure that procurement understand this – cheaper isn’t always better!
