COLLEGE CARPETS GET CREATIVE
Students and staff at Oldham Sixth Form College will reap the benefits of Array carpet tiles from Heckmondwike’s Creative Range in its Student Support Hub.
Oldham Sixth Form College is based in Westwood, Greater Manchester. The facility opened in 1992 as a specialist centre for advanced-level study, it now offers over 100 courses that include academic, vocational and even GCSE courses. To support the progress of their students the college have qualified careers staff based in house, supported by external advisers.
They also host a range of career activities throughout the year, which means that their Student Support Hub is a constant hive of activity. For this reason, David Crossland, Facilities Manager at Oldham College, sought out stylish yet sturdy floor coverings for the centre, qualities that he found in Heckmondwike’s Array tiles.

David Crossland said: “We were looking for an affordable tile with a ‘designer feel’ that had good aesthetics but would also be very hardwearing. We chose black as a robust, neutral colour and are really pleased with the result.”

enhanced with a subtle linear pattern. The range comprises 12 colour options, including Peacock, Blue, Black, Red, Lime, Purple, Magenta, Copper, Emerald, Fuchsia, Marble and Violet.
The Array range can be used in conjunction with Heckmondwike’s popular Broadrib range to provide borders or other stunning effects, allowing endless design possibilities. Like all of Heckmondwike’s products, Array can be cut on-site without the risk of fraying, allowing individual flooring designs to be created and installed with ease.
