YOUR HANDS GOJO Industries-Europe Ltd is urging the healthcare industry to join them in backing the World health Organization (WHO)’s annual ‘Save Lives: Clean Your Hands’ campaign.

The worldwide advocacy day takes place on 5 May 2019. This year, the campaign highlights the importance hand hygiene plays in the global movement to achieve universal health coverage (UHC), i.e. securing better health and well-being for all people at all ages.

Infection Prevention and Control, including hand hygiene, is critical to accomplish UHC, being a practical and evidence-based approach, with demonstrated impact on quality of care and patient safety across all levels of the health system.

The annual campaign and advocacy day targets a cross-section of influencers in the global healthcare sector. This year’s calls to action are:


GROWTH FORECAST Homes for Students, the national student accommodation manager, is on course to achieve its growth forecast after announcing it will operate over 20,000 student beds throughout the UK by the end of 2019, based on secured contracts.

The figure has been achieved in just under four years since the business was formed and as a result the company is adding a number of roles within its sales and marketing, compliance and asset management teams to support its growth strategy.

The company, which counts a number of leading developers and investors among its clients, has 75 schemes in its management across 29 UK towns and cities under its Homes for Students and Prestige Student Living brands.
