SmartTask helps Stadium Support Services deliver service excellence at the Farnborough International Airshow.
Stadium Support Services, the specialist facilities management and cleaning company, has used SmartTask to monitor and coordinate its cleaning operation at the recent Farnborough International Airshow.
The company needed an advanced workforce management solution that would provide real-time visibility and control over its 100-strong team, who were tasked with delivering 80,000 hours of cleaning services across the vast 770-acre site.
More than 500 QR codes were attached within toilet blocks, exhibition halls and other auxiliary buildings, so cleaning operatives and supervisors simply had to scan a tag with a SmartTask-enabled smartphone when an area had been cleaned or inspected.
Stadium Support Services also provided a platinum cleaning service to many of the 1,500 exhibitors, so the company needed a way to confirm that all daily deep
cleans had taken place within more than 70,000m² of exhibition space.
All captured data was uploaded to an online portal, so Stadium Support Services’ office-based helpdesk received live updates of all cleaning activity. This ensured that the required service levels were being met and enabled corrective action to be taken to resolve any missed tasks.
A team of 18 supervisors was also able to use a SmartForm within SmartTask to report any cleaning incident, including photo evidence and supporting information, so the company could react quickly to major issues or spillages.
Scott Hudson, Operations Director at Stadium Support services, explained: “Due to the scale of the site and diversity of buildings, we needed a highly-functional and easy-to-use workforce management tool that provides complete transparency of the cleaning operation.
