Cramped cubicles cause

complaints American Airlines is coming under fire for fitting their 737 range with ludicrously small toilets.

Ignoring complaints from both passengers and flight attendants alike, the latest range of Boeing 737-MAX airplanes are equipped with restrooms just 24 inches wide: far too small and confined for most adult human beings.

While the new 737-MAX airplanes have been entering service and garnering complaints since November 2017, older (and identically sized) 737 models are being retrofitted with the new loos.

Passenger capacity on the new 737-MAX models is an uncomfortably cosy 172, while the older models had a

New partnership between

ISSA and AACP ISSA and the American Association for Cleaning Professionals (AACP) have jointly announced that the two organisations have entered into a partnership.

The partnership endeavours to better serve the owners and employees of small to midsize contract cleaning and restoration companies.

John Barrett, ISSA Executive Director, said: “ISSA is excited to team up with AACP so we can jointly provide education, networking, and business-growth resources to the important market segment of independent cleaning contractors. AACP’s market understanding and member- benefits portfolio is an excellent complement to ISSA’s global network of cleaning suppliers, distributors, facility

Urinal screen provides

three times the protection Vectair Systems has launched the first triple action urinal screen, incorporating dual fragrance delivery, an active ‘enzyme protected’ central core, and the ‘ultimate’ defence against splashback.

The P-Screen addresses fragrance fatigue by providing fragrance in both the screen itself and the central core, with three different fragrance options complemented by the citrus core. The dual fragrance continually released for up to 60 days.

The active central core provides impressive enzyme protection thanks to its naturally occurring bacteria, which degrades organic matter, eliminates bad smells, and reduces organic scale build-up. The splashback protection comes from a smart design combination of bubbles and bristles, which create a surface that’s difficult for water to rebound off.

positively comfortable 160 seats. The older planes are being retrofitted to accommodate 172 seats thanks to the micro- restrooms.

The new configuration is causing headaches for flight attendants and passengers alike, with people unable to turn around or getting stuck inside. If you even manage to use the miniscule facility, the miserly proportioned handbasin is only big enough to wash one hand at a time, and flight attendants are forced to bear the brunt of angry passengers flopping back out into the aisles.

managers, and commercial and residential cleaners. Welcoming AACP members and expertise into the ISSA community will undoubtedly increase the value of participation for all constituents.”

AACP specifically serves contractors in the janitorial services, carpet cleaning, maid services, and fire/water restoration industries. AACP delivers education, marketing resources, group insurance benefits, supplies and equipment discounts and more among its deep portfolio of member benefits.

AACP founder Wayne Baxtrom commented: “AACP is honored to partner with ISSA to deliver more value to our members and more opportunities for professional connections to our shared audience of cleaning contractors.

The urinal screen is flexible, using interlacing strips of EVA material to form a strong but bendable lattice. This means it comfortably fits most urinal shapes and sizes, its design ensures debris such as cigarettes, chewing gum and paper will be caught, and the screen is 100% recyclable and VOC exempt.

Paul Wonnacott, Managing Director at Vectair Systems, said: “With P-Screen, we’ve joined together a whole host of features to create one ultimate urinal solution. This combination of a well-designed, fragrant and flexible screen, with an active central core, really does present a unique solution and can provide supreme protection to urinals in any setting, all over the world.”
