PAPER DISPOSABLES

SPONSORED BY: STAR TISSUE Star shines brightly

Star Tissue is one of the UK’s leading independent manufacturers of hygiene paper products.

Star Tissue manufactures a wide range of household and away from home paper products from its custom- built production facility in Lancashire.

As a family-owned business, we are proud of our strong reputation in the industry for providing exceptional customer service and value for money, whilst adhering to the highest ethical and environmental standards.

We offer paper products that are manufactured to the highest standard of quality, together with the flexibility to meet the diverse needs of our valued customers large or small.

Over the past six years we have made significant investments in our plant, machinery and systems to ensure we can meet the diverse needs of our customers in the away from home washrooms, professional cleaning, healthcare, food service and industrial markets.

With four production lines we have the capacity to manufacture 18,000 tonnes of hygiene paper products a year: that equates to over 1000 rolls a minute. We have invested heavily in two laminated

embossed paper converting production lines. One is specific to away from home products and the other in consumer paper products. Our investments in the latest production technology allows us to manufacture ply bonded flat sheet, ply bonded embossed, laminated micro- embossed and laminated embossed in both the consumer and away from home markets.

We also recognise that logistics play an integral part in ensuring customers receive a reliable and flexible delivery service. We have invested heavily in our warehouse operation with over 100,000sq ft of quality warehousing with the capacity to hold over 2,000 pallets of finished goods ready for call off.

Recently we added a new service yard spanning over two acres to support the eight loading bays, this is to ensure that we can hold and load several lorries and vans at one time, enabling goods to be loaded and dispatched more efficiently.

Star Tissue strives to provide the highest level of customer service and is

strongly committed to our continuous improvement programme; constantly ensuring we are up to date with client requirements and market standards. All our away from home products in the Sirius range meet the CHSA Soft Tissue Standard ensuring the products meet the specifications on the label. Star Tissue is also accredited with ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Following our success and commitment to maintaining the highest quality and management procedures, Star Tissue was announced as one of London Stock Exchange’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain in 2016, surpassing this the following year by being awarded a place as one of the 1000 Companies to Inspire Europe in 2017.

By following the guidelines and innovations mentioned above we have established ourselves as one of the UK’s leading independent tissue converters.
